  • Keymander Failure
    Hello,
I’ve tried many micro usb cables, finally settling on a Microsoft charge and sync. Which was working flawlessly, until 2 days ago. I have used the included cable to troubleshoot with the same result. The controller will vibrate, but not come on, when plugged in.
I have used my elite controller and a newer controller, same result. I have a third controller and I’ll try that this evening.
I have turned off and unplugged the Xbox. This solved the issue for 30 seconds. But the controller ceased to respond to the commands, shortly thereafter. Also, the Xbox responds poorly to doing this, so it’s not something I want to repeat again.
I’ve wound back the firmware on the keymander. I was not aware of a brand new firmware release yesterday. Does it address this issue at all?
    When is tech support available?

    I’ll attempt it.

I have been using an official Microsoft play n charge cable. But I troubleshot using the included wire dongle. And that didn’t connect the controller either. I loved using the keymander and grew quite adept making profiles and troubleshooting problems as they arise, but there’s always “something” that needs fixing.
  • Keymander Keeps Disconnecting my Controller
Regardless of method of connection, this issue occurs. The only 2 things left I can really change is the cable or sending the unit back.

Yes, I've reloaded the firmware this evening, because the problem is getting progressively worse. Also, I'm currently using the keyboard and mouse that are plugged into the computer and unplugged everything but the controller to the keymander. I think this may have helped somewhat. Some general observations about this disconnection problem: it seems to affect some games more than others. At this point, i can't get through a single match of Overwatch without repeated controller disconnections. Placing second in that category is PUBG. R6S is the most stable, and rarely disconnects.

    1. No rechargeable batteries.
    2. Ensured plug is seated correctly.
    3. Current set-up is keymander to PC and Console, using keymander software to toggle in and out of use.
Last night, it seemed to disconnect more than usual, actually.
Tonight I plan to find a different wire.
I feel as though since this is something inconsistent and erratic, it may be a fault with the keymander itself

This happens to me periodically, as well. Particularly, it seems to happen after extended hours of play. Even so, it isn't significant enough to be a complete deal breaker. After 2-3 hours of play, it will begin to happen every 30 minutes or so. I'll try some of the above mentioned fixes and update the forum.
  • XB1: Rainbow Six: Siege profile
Thanks for the response. I figured out my problem. I was adding the new profiles to “groups” in the keymander software and not “current”. So I wasn’t actually playing with the correct profile.
  • XB1: Rainbow Six: Siege profile
Ok. I'm trying to get the R6S profile tweeked. I've played some. The keyboard is working well. But the mouse is extremely sluggish. The mouse doesn't feel "rough" as opposed to smooth as you've indicated regarding the DPI. It's just slow. I'm using the one of the provided siege profiles. I set the sensitivities to maximum in game. And I'm using a Logitech g300s, which (i think) I've set to 2500 DPI on the PC app, with the keymander app set to 2500 as well. Any thing that i may need to change besides buying a new mouse?

So in order to get a look speed comparable to playing on my PC, i am going to need a mouse capable of > 5000dpi?
