In Game settings:
Stick Layout: Default
Sensitivity: Insane [7]
Sensitivity (ADS): Insane [7]
Response Curve: Classic
Look Deadzone: Small
Movement Deadzone: Large
The updated Apex Legends profile tracks targets very smoothly with your mouse and KeyMander sensitivity to 3,500dpi.
for me, the overall sensitivity is good but I am getting random hits upwards and downwards when I move horizontally. Also, micro movements are being tracked. So I think I am having some issues with the deadzone maybe?
Did you set the settings as directed on the first post in the XB1 Apex Legends sample profile thread? If so, what mouse are you using and at what resolution is it set? It sounds like you have the control structure set to something other than Steady.
Yep, all the settings are the same. Zowie EC2A @ 3200 dpi. Set to steady. Vertical movements for ads and general movement are extremely fast. Horizontal seems fine.
small. I have tried decreasing the deadzone which helps, but it feels like I don’t have much control and at any moment the reticle might jump wildly while tracking.
try turning down the verticle sensitivity multiplier, if it is on 100 try 95 and decrease by 5 untill there is no more jumping. If you look at most of my profiles it is generally on 87, I find this number to be a freat balance between not jumping and not reducing it so much that looking up down is unbearable.
I've been having fun with this profile getting it just right but not as much luck as with Fortnite and Blackout getting that perfect feeling. I ultimately had to get rid of the curve and move to a higher "acceleration" around 76, but it doesn't feel right. I have my mouse at max 8000dpi and matching the setting as always , does anyone have any other suggestions to tweak this profile?
Hey I misunderstood your last post. If you are experiencing the mouse moving up and down it is due to the Diagonal Acceleration being set too high. turn this down by 10% until the mouse stops moving up and down while looking around or ADS Hope this Helps!
Hey Prowler, I'm having the same issue as ttrrag with the aim look mode drifting although mine is up, down, left and right... which ever direction i stopped aiming in it continues to drift. I've been playing with the diagonal acceleration but have had no luck so far. there does not appear to be a problem in ADS. has anyone came up with a fix yet? any help would be greatly appreciated.
I got my Keymander yesterday, and I wanted to say thanks for the profiles. Setup was quick and easy. I do have one issue, after about an hour of game play my mouse will start to drift slightly. I have been resetting the Xbox/Keymander and it will correct itself for about an hour and then start again. Is this common or is there a setting I can adjust to correct this? Also I want to note this happens only in Apex Legends, no issues with other games.
Try setting crouch to a mouse button temporarily to see if it still looks up when sliding. It sounds like you have multiple commands engaging which you crouch or slide.
It sounds like you are getting controller stick drift from having the deadzone setting very close to the stick's droop or drift point. There's two ways to address this:
1. increase the deadzone so that the drift point is within the zone, but this has a negative effect of makin the mouse feel slow or jumpy to start since you have to move it more to register.
2. Physically move the stick and try to center it and then avoid touching it at all so as not to cause it to drift again. I use this method personally with old controllers and it works until I bump them again. Cheaper than buying a new controller!
