    The newest firmware is here.
And steps on how to preform it are here

This happens to me periodically, as well. Particularly, it seems to happen after extended hours of play. Even so, it isn't significant enough to be a complete deal breaker. After 2-3 hours of play, it will begin to happen every 30 minutes or so. I'll try some of the above mentioned fixes and update the forum.

    Which fixes did you try?

Does your controller have rechargeable batteries in it?
  • flxcpctr

    1. No rechargeable batteries.
    2. Ensured plug is seated correctly.
    3. Current set-up is keymander to PC and Console, using keymander software to toggle in and out of use.
Last night, it seemed to disconnect more than usual, actually.
Tonight I plan to find a different wire.
I feel as though since this is something inconsistent and erratic, it may be a fault with the keymander itself

If any of you are on ps4 what i found out was that my mouse cord was moving the cord connected to my controller causing it to disconnect try changing the cord connected to your controller

Try reloading the firmware on to the keymander to clear up any small bugs that may be causing the problem.

Reloading the firmware? You mean restart the program?
  • flxcpctr

Yes, I've reloaded the firmware this evening, because the problem is getting progressively worse. Also, I'm currently using the keyboard and mouse that are plugged into the computer and unplugged everything but the controller to the keymander. I think this may have helped somewhat. Some general observations about this disconnection problem: it seems to affect some games more than others. At this point, i can't get through a single match of Overwatch without repeated controller disconnections. Placing second in that category is PUBG. R6S is the most stable, and rarely disconnects.

Same issue on PUBG, did you get an answer ?

Does this issue occur when going directly to the keymander as well? Or only through the keymander software ?
  • flxcpctr

Regardless of method of connection, this issue occurs. The only 2 things left I can really change is the cable or sending the unit back.

Make sure you don't have any of the bullets selected. That is TURBO. Make sure the bullets look like the picture above.

I also have issues with connection with my xbox one controller. I've only had the keymander for about a month now. I constantly have to reconnect the power cable or reset the keymander. I have just updated the firmware and now it'll work for 5 secs then it won't work anymore. I am currently using Logitech G213 keyboard and Logitech G502 mouse. The cable for the controller is brand new. The connections on the other cables seem to be working fine. What can I do that I haven't already done to fix the issues myself? I've tried multiple combinations as to connecting, reconnecting, and resetting the keymander and the console. It's not hooked up to the pc when I use it after the profiles have been saved onto the keymander. I constantly get an error message stating that my controller is not connected. I don't know what to do...

    Hello!

Can you tell me what version firmware and software you are on.

Also do you have rechargeable batteries in your controller? If so try it without them.

    Hello!
What else do you have connected to the keymander?
What kind of keyboard and mouse are you using? Any headsets or rechargeable batteries?
  • wolfnightblade

Stating the controller can't be rechargeable is ridiculous. ALL PS4 CONTROLLERS ARE RECHARGEABLE. I never had this issue. I have the latest update with a gaming keyboard (half size razer) and gaming mouse. They work fine most of the time, just dropped connections. Very random, unplugging the connection, replugging in EVENTUALLY stops the issue. Super annoying. 9 days until my 30 day return window is up, then back to FRYs if no update fix is released.

This is honestly super annoying and sad this sould not be happening as it dosen't happen to anyone elses adapter if this keeps up I would never say this is useable and the price would be to high for the pain and frustration this gives you

What console are you on? If it's an original Xbox One, have you tried all USB ports on the console (side and back)?

We did not state that the controller cannot be rechargeable, what we are referring to is rechargeable batteries on Xbox One controllers. This does not apply to PS4, now are you connecting directly to the PS4? And have you tried all USB ports?

What console are you on (if Xbox One, which version) and what mouse and keyboard are you using?

    Hi Sensei,
We didn't say the controller cannot be rechargeable, we said that batteries are not necessary in the Xbox One controller with the KeyMander connected. Additionally, rechargeable batteries are not all the same, and when added to Xbox One controllers some of these batteries can pull large amounts of current when the batteries are low, which when combined with powering the mouse, certain keyboards and KeyMander can exceed the power output capability of the Xbox One USB port during high charging rate.

PS4 controllers are rechargeable and all have the same Sony spec'd battery cells, so there is no variance to worry about. Additionally, a completely dead PS4 remote combined with some power hungry RGB keyboards and RGB mice can reach a peak current draw that exceeds the PS4 USB port. This does not happen often, but it is possible because the limitation in both cases is the USB port (approximately 480mA) on the console.

Are you experiencing dropped controller connection on a PS4?

Are you using the side USB port on the original Xbox One? If so, move it to the back USB ports. We just got another original XB1 (used) to replace our broken one, and unlike our other XB1S and XB1X units this original XB1 randomly disconnects the controller every few seconds to few minutes. Switching to the back USB port has solved the problem so far.
