If you are asking about the cable to connect a PS4 or Xbox One controller, it should be a normal charge and sync cable with connectors like these:

well, the ones that come with the keymander, they bot have a B on them but on the instructions it says their should be an A and a B

The "B" in the instructions is referring to the USB cable end type, but both cables are exactly the same. The small connector is Mini-USB connector Type B, and the larger full size connector is a USB Type A connector.


Connect either Micro USB cable end to the KeyMander port marked Game, and connect the other end to the game console. If you are programming the KeyMander, connect the other Micro USB cable end to the KeyMander port marked PC, and connect the other end to your PC or laptop.

It sounds like you have the cables backwards or you do not have both the cables connected, because the spinning screen means the PC is not seeing the KeyMander connected. Check to make sure you have the USB cable from the PC Port running to the PC, and the USB from the Game Port running to the console.

If there is no power on the KeyMander unit (no LEDs), then you definitely have a cable connection problem. If you have power but your mouse and keyboard do nothing, check to see if your keyboard's arrow keys can navigate the console menu screen. If so, press F9 and that should take you out of typing mode and put you into game play mode.

If the arrow keys do not function in the game menu's that is a sign the cable between the controller and the KeyMander is bad. Use a different micro-USB cable to connect the controller to the KeyMander and see if that solves the problem.

once I Connect the cables, should the power button light?

Yes, the blue Power LED should be on once the cables are connected. When your PC is connected and the KeyMander software is open, the blue Setting LED should be on.

I think it's a cable problem then as nothing light up when the cables are connected?? is this on your guys end or mine?

I tried putting the usb for game in 2 usb slots in my xbox, nothing happened, then for my pc cable I tried all 6 slots, nothing happened

Let's try this:
1. Unplug everything from the KeyMander module.
2. Take one USB to mini-USB cable and plug it into the front USB port of the Xbox One.
3. Take the other end of the cable and plug it into the KeyMander's Game.
4. Turn on the Xbox One.

Did the KeyMander's blue power LED turn on?

no

It is possible there is something wrong with your KeyMander module, and if so we will certainly take care of it for you but let's check two last things. The only times I've actually seen an LED that didn't light up was either:
A) The Mini-USB connector was not correctly aligned and the connector did not go in all the way. I've seen this a couple times, and it will look like the connector is sticking out pretty far as seen below. Pushing the connector in with a little more pressure fixed it when I experienced the issue.


B) The KeyMander firmware was updated but for some reason didn't finish and the firmware became corrupted. Fortunately there is a fix for it. Did you try to update your firmware?

I did put in my cables correctly but I think B) is correct as I did try update it but something happened and it stopped updating

So yeh I tried to update the firmware and then it randomly stopped, it had some red text which I didn't read and after that I couldn't get the keymander to work.

Let me know if there is a way to fix it (Y), then I can finally finish the instructions lol

Thank you for finding the problem as to why my keymander didn't work, I went into the firmware upgrade and went help to find that there was a recovery section, I then went onto the user manual v2 and found out how to do it, now my keymander works fine, thank you finding out the problem for me.

although, when I'm using this on the Overwatch sample profile, when I turn my mouse fast it makes my mouse go really slow

Are you on PS4 or Xbox ? I am currently working on an updated PS4 profile I should have it ready in the next few days, one I would suggest trying is changing the Aim technique to Exponential Ramp. I did this and tweaked the sensitivity and acceleration a bit and it smoothed out my aiming and made it much easier to play.
