i have a second controller but when i plug my headset into it it doesn't work, and when i turn on ther second controller my keyboard stops working

Are you using Xbox One or PS4?
If PS4, are you using the newer ZUH-TC2U controller? If so, have you updated to the current version of KeyMander firmware?

what's the zuh-tc2u controller? i have two dualshock 4 controllers

If you look on the back of the controller there is a model number. The ZUH-TC2U is the newest Dual-Shock controller model. This new Dual-Shock controller requires KeyMander to have the most recent firmware installed in order to be compatible. Let us know if this solves the problem.

I have a wired xbox one controller when i plug my controller into the keymander the headset stops working. No sound is coming through it at all. When i plug my xbox one controller into the xbox itselft then i get sound.

Hello, I just got my key mander and I changed the controls (I'm playing on PS4) and I can't use my mic, I tried going on guest and I couldn't talk or hear my friends. I have 2 controllers and they're both the same model ( CUH-ZCT1U ). Can u please help me out? I'll appreciate it!

On the guest account that you are using do you have a PSN account? Also were trying to talk to your friends via a party chat or just through the game?

Hello, I was trying to talk to them via party chat and I have another psn account. I used my second controller and I signed into my other psn account and I unplugged the key mander and plugged it back in and it did not work and I could hear my friends and talk to them from the second controller that was not connected to the key mander, but it stopped working and when I signed into a guest I can only hear th game audio not the party chat

Where did you unplug the Keymander from ? Also try to sign in with two actual PSN accounts and not a guest account.

Hello, I just got a keymander. Very impressed with how easy it is to use. I do have an issue with my xbox one headset which is a Turtle Beach PX24, does not work while connected to my keymander. I am sure I have the revised keymander and the latest firmware. I do have batteries in the controller and it is connected to the keymander. How do I fix this?

Also is there any way to get the Logitech G13 to work properly plugged directly into the keymander? It seems like I can only get it working if I have it plugged into the PC and run play mode through the keymander software.

Hi Devin,

Have you connected the headset to the controller and tried using it without KeyMander first to confirm your audio port was working correctly?

The G13 is best can be connected like you have used it with the PC and Play Mode. Connecting it directly to KeyMander causes it to be recognized as a mouse joystick so you must select the joystick option, not keyboard or mouse when mapping the keys. The F keys are not currently able to be mapped to the joystick, so you will need to set this profile to default when uploading to the KeyMander or you will not be able to switch to it. We do have plans to add F key mapping in a future firmware build. I believe this will be a simple firmware upgrade on our part, but we have a few major upgrades that are in line ahead of this. It is definitely a focus though!

Yes, the headset works without the keymander. Would the xbox one elite controller be the issue?

Do you have a standard XB1 controller with audio jack you can try? Unfortunately I don't have a PX24 here to test, but I have a hard time believing it wouldn't work. Does the amplifier box unplug from the headset so you can test without the amp connected?

i have standard earbuds plugged into my recon tech controller, and i cannot get any audio. should it be a problem that i have low quality earbuds and a newer model controller?

It should not be a problem, but I'm haven't tested the Recon Tech controller yet. Looks like I'll be getting one shortly!

yes it was my cheap earbuds that were the problem. i recently picked up the razer kraken pro v2 headset and it works perfectly with the controller.

My headset had one 3.5mm jack so if I get the USB adapter for the PS4 what side do I plug the headset cord in to use my microphone and hear the audio of the game?

You need to get a USB adapter with a single 4-pole 3.5mm jack like this one.

Right when you get the keymander out of the box. Do you HAVE to have an update to use on Xbox one?

Is there any other way to install the firmware update. I do not own a pc

If you just got it from Amazon or Newegg, I know their current stock has the most recent firmware and can be used without the update. If you got it elsewhere, I'd have to check the serial number to be sure. Unless your KeyMander is more than a year old, it will be compatible with Xbox One and PS4 out of the box, but may not have the most recent improvements. Older units may have compatibility issues with the most recent PS4 controllers and would require the firmware update.

Besides the firmware update, you also currently need a PC to load game profiles. We are working on our support for smartphone and tablets, but Android support is coming first and not slated for release until September. You can make changes to a profile without a PC, but it is much more time consuming and more difficult to fine tune than using the PC to get started.

If you have access to a friend's PC we can email you some game profiles to get you started. Also, the KeyMander software is a simple app that does not actually install itself on the PC, so your friend won't need to worry about it using system resources, etc. or doing anything to their computer. You may even be able to use a library computer.

How do I load profiles without a pc

Currently you need a PC to load game profiles, which is why I was asking if you have access to someone else's PC. If so, we can help you load them.

I do not at the moment.

Without access to a PC, you will need to use our Direct Configuration mode beginning on page 14 of our User Manual linked here. This is our only option without a PC unit we launch support for mobile devices.
