    HI Ramkimgs,

Download the profile you need from the KeyMander Forum, and make sure to save it in the same folder where your KeyMander Software is located. Next, open the KeyMander software and follow the steps below:

    1. Select an open profile spot, or select a profile you want to replace. It will have a green outline around the profile once selected.

    2. Either right click on the profile and select Import or click the File tab and select Import>Profile.

    3. In the import window browse to the location of the profile you want to import and select the profile, then click Open.

    4. Now that the profile has been imported to the KeyMander software, click the Upload tab to upload the profile group (with the newly imported profile) into the KeyMander.

    5. Connect to your console and play!

Thanks, it works out I appreciate it. I have a quick question about the ads in general, I noticed most of the profile has the ads activated button as L1, but shouldn't it be usually right click of the mouse? Which is L2 on the controller for default keybind in most of the game.

Which profile did you see L1 for ADS? You are correct than L2 is usually ADS, unless the controller configuration has been changed.

I'm using this profile currently. Works really well, I'm having an issue with the mouse button five though, the side mouse button. When you push it the screen goes crazy looking all over the place and you lose the ability to aim. I tried mapping the key to something else but it didn't work. I'm using the wireless keyboard and mouse that comes in the bundle.

GKM602R Wireless Gaming Keyboard and Mouse:

    Hi Dayman,
Button 5 is set for turn assistant on the sample profile. If you press button 5 it will normally continue turning the last direction the mouse was moved, but it really isn't needed so set turn assist to None in the KeyMander software and the button will no longer cause the issue you reported.

NOTE: after receiving your question we updated the sample profile to have the turn assist off by default, however we noticed a bug causing the mouse to have a slightly downward right movement when either button 4 or 5 is pressed and released. This seems to be caused by a conflict with the mouse's software, so we have our engineers looking into it for a fix. In the meantime here is a work around to avoid this issue:
    1. Download the GKM602R mouse driver from the IOGEAR website here.
    2. Unzip the GKM602R driver file and open the folder.
    3. Double click the GKM602R_Driver_v.1.0.exe file to install it. NOTE: If you are using Microsoft Security Essentials you must first pause real time scanning as it will falsely indicate the presence of malware in the .exe file. If you have any concerns you can first scan the file with any of the online virus scanners like Housecall from Trend Micro, etc.
    4. Once the GKM602R driver is installed, open it to see the main window and click on 5th button as shown below:
    et637xji7h68wrsf.png
    5. Select No Function from the drop down menu and click OK:
    gl4p61gvdwhpl8sn.png
    6. Click Apply to update the mouse. The screen will show the setting is saved, then click OK to exit. The 5th button will no longer have any function and the movement issue is bypassed. Repeat for button 4 if desired.
    gnlec33f9ht70irz.png
    7. If you want to be able to use the side mouse buttons with KeyMander, you will need to assign them a keyboard function so it can then be remapped by the KeyMander software. For this example we will remap the 5th mouse button to act as the keyboard L key, so on the main window click the 5th button again to bring up the button function window and select the right arrow under Shortcut text Commands:
    1n0hvx6cng8rrwug.png
    8. In the macro title box enter L, then in the macro character input box enter L again.
    avcoudwwaulyydz2.png
    9. Click OK, then apply to update the mouse.
    jck23i5sbxdbs2g1.png
    10. The 5th mouse button will now have the same function as the pressing L on the keyboard. Repeat for button 4 if desired, but select a different unused keyboard key such as K.
    11. In the KeyMander software, choose the function you want to assign to mouse button 5 and in the drop down button for that function select Keyboard instead of mouse, and press L.

    12. Save and upload when done.

Just wanted to check back, I tried both shortcut texts commands and keyboard macro commands and neither one of them work for remapping.

Mapping the right analog stick is already on our request list for our engineering team. We've have a few people that need to separate the movement into different keys for various reasons. The challenge is finding a way to add smooth acceleration of movement like an analog stick or mouse, into a digital button system. We do have the ability to swap the stick controls so that fine analog movement for aim/look can be done with the left hand instead, and the right hand could access the keyboard functions.

Can you let me know what you did at each step so I can find the problem or at least walk you through it better? For example, did you get to the point where the mouse driver screen showed the shortcut text like in the screen below?

    Hi Karim,
Are you having difficulty downloading the profile? We can send it to you in a message if you need.

Are you also having trouble with the mouse sensitivity? What mouse are you using?

    Dear derek

I downloaded the profile perfectly but when i play with same customization as you said , the sensitivity is very low , i barley move right or left with the mouse ( so slow) thus made me increase the senisitivity in key mander up to 150 to play normal and i’m getting killed very easy

My mouse is : wireless logitech mx master
  • Moderator [Derek]
    59

OK, the first thing I have to mention is that the Logitech MX Master is a great desktop mouse for everyday PC work, but it is not a good choice for gaming. The maximum resolution is only 1600 dpi which is too low for KeyMander, and is why you are experiencing such poor performance. The darkfield sensor it uses has acceleration issues that makes it less accurate, it has a low refresh rate, high latency from the wireless connectivity, and is very heavy so it moves slowly. You don't need an expensive mouse to play with KeyMander, but to get good results you need to use a gaming mouse. Do you have a gaming mouse you can use?

Currently no , but you can help through these

    1) what are my options if i proceed with the mx logitech ?

    2) what do you recommend for the best gaming mouse suitable with keymander regardless price ?

so far most gaming mice will work.. the best one will be something like a razer deathadder 10 000 dpi 50g sensor anything above 10 000 dpi will give problems, you can get that mouse on amazon for like $45 its really good. if you're using like a 6 500dpi 40g sensor it will not be as accurate but everything will be the same. i started on a 2 000dpi kaliber gaming mouse and it did the job, the razer dominates thought and i love it
  • karim

Thanks , i think i will go for razer
  • Moderator [Derek]

Most any gaming mouse over 4000dpi will give you good results. If you like Razer, Kingly is right that the Death Adder series are nice. Depending on what brand you prefer, there are several great mice out there.
