Yes, you can ignore the warning about the update not being newer. What version of firmware were you on before you started? Are you using the Firmware Update feature built into the KeyMander software or are you double clicking the firmware file?

If you would prefer you can also send us your unit and we will update it and send it back to you.

I was on the firmware before the new one was released. I try to update in the keymanders software but it didnt update so it was flashing all the lights and I did the the reset button and it still didn’t work

If all the lights are on, try the first procedure here and let me know if it works. If not, send it in and I'll update it for you and send it back.

how do I send it to you? And if I do when I use the software will it work???

You can call us at 866-9-IOGEAR and our tech support department will give you an RMA number and instructions for sending it in, but I recently uploaded a version of the firmware that should be able to force upgrade any of our KeyMander models, including the older hardware versions. Please download the file here, unzip it, then connect your KeyMander and double click the .exe file.

if I extract the file is it the same as
unzipping?

Yes, that is the unzip function built into Windows.

I'm having some troubles installing the keymander software on my PC running windows 10.1. When I run the .exe file the Circle just keeps spinning on myh screen? Any info or tips?

It means your PC does not see the KeyMander connected. Do you have both mini USB cables connected between your KeyMander and PC (one to the PC port and one to the Power port)?

I haven't tested the V2 with KeyMander, so please us know how you have it configured. If I remember correctly on the original model we had to set the key bindings to keyboard keys and then set the KeyMander to use those keyboard keys to bind to the desired function. So for example, if memory serves we had to use the Razer software to make key 01 equal Q, then bind Q to the function we wanted in the KeyMander software. However, I think there was an issue trying to bind the ESC, and F keys in the Razer software but I no longer have a unit here to test, so please let us know what you find so we can try to help.

Wow i just talked to randel one of the three people in this whole department. He was very rude and un helpfull been at this two days now and no help whats so ever i couldnt be more disatisfied with this product it does not work and the supossed support team knows nothing about it smh....

The product works fine with a keyboard and mouse. We never claimed the Tartarus V2 joystick would work because we haven't tested it, as I told you above. We are happy to help you try some things to see if we can make your joystick work, but calling in with an attitude and expecting that we can create software on the spot to solve a potential compatibility issue with a product we never claimed to support is not the best way to get help. Now, if you would like to start by testing the answer I provided, or by testing with a traditional keyboard we will be happy to assist you.

first of all Derek your not got giving true statements. no attitude was presented until i was hung up on twice from randel after just calling with a follow up call i'm disappointed i was told that keymander is only giving support from one person all this business and only one person handling everything and i do see where you said you tested the tartarus version 1 and how you state another persons v2 works fine smh. after two days of working on it i have gained ground none of your fixes work correct or accurate i will be returning the product more then likely. mainly and solely because of customer support i was given from Larry's team

after using my keymander for more than a year i keep running into the same problem, every other week. where my keymander no longer wants to work. I've managed to reset it and that fixed it all the other times but now it just doesn't want to work at all. when i connect my controller to it, it doesn't want to connect to my xbox

This sounds like your controllers are defaulting to Bluetooth communication. Do you use batteries in your controllers or are you running without?

is this program compatible with linux if it isn’t compatible with mac?

We have no idea as we do not have a Linux machine here to even test it on.
