I just got my keymander and I'm trying to play infinite warfare. I downloaded the profile for PS4 for the game and uploaded it to the keymander. I did everything right. I changed my mouse DPI on my mouse itself and in the setting to the max, I maxed out the in game sensitivity, and I made sure to switch to the infinite warfare profile in game. But the mouse movements are awful.

I'm using a Corsair Harpoon gaming mouse with 6000 DPI.

    Hey man,

Yeah I have a corsair KATAR with 6000 dpi as well. I use the xbox one base profile. I get choppy mouse movements but I think that is just how xbox is programmed. I mean the people at iogear do their best to make it like PC but it will never be exact. If I was you the best thing to do is to lower aim down sight sensitivity because that helps with chopiness I know for a fact. Apart from that, Happy Gaming.

    :p

No matter what I change the sensitivity and acceleration to, nothing feels smooth. I'm not expecting it to perfectly mimic PC, but I want an experience as close as possible. Nothing I choose feels right.

With 6000 dpi you should have very smooth movement if your dead zones are set correctly and the sensitivity in the KeyMander software is not boosted too high. I'm going to check the sample profile optimization and get back to you shortly.

Thank you. There doesn't seem to be a fine line between choppy, sluggish movement and jittery, uncontrollable movement. I've spent about an hour trying to find that sweet spot and I just can't find it. I haven't changed the deadline from the sample profile either

Please download the updated profile and see how that works for you. I found an error with the aim-down-sight control and made a couple small adjustments that should improve the performance.

Also, make sure your mouse is set to the max dpi in the software that comes with it, then save that setting in the mouse's on-board memory. Set the dpi to match in the KeyMander's settings menu.

My mouse DPI is correct. I'm on PS4, is there a way to convert this profile to PS4?

And thank you for the help

Yes, you can convert any profile from console to console by using the "Change Gamepad" command. Here's the specifics on how to do it.

There are some very minor differences between PS4 and XB1 versions if I remember correctly, so we will update the official sample profile shortly. In the meantime I have converted the XB1 profile for you and attached it below.

The profile feels worse than the first one. Thanks for the help though. I'll try to figure something out on my own.

I appreciate your help and attentiveness.

Can you post a screen shot of your profile settings so we can see what's going on? There is something really wrong if it feels awful.

Also, are you playing in Simulation Mode/Play Mode? And what version of firmware are you on?

That's ok. I tweaked the original IW profile and found something that works for me. It's not perfect, but it feels much better compared to before.

Thanks for all your help and I really appreciate how attentive you were!

One more thing. If I get a mouse with an even higher DPI than my 6000, will I experience an even smoother gameplay? Or will the difference be minimal?

You will start to reach the point of diminishing returns once you get too much past your current resolution. My personal favorite mouse recipe for KeyMander combines a "flawless" optical sensor like the PMW3310, PME3360/6, etc., with 5000+ dpi sensitivity, which I feel provides the smoothest response for how I like to play. There is a definite difference between sensor types, but once you get past 5 or 6k dpi, it becomes more of a personal preference as they will pretty much all work well as long as there are no compatibility issues. The one caveat is that if the mouse has no on-board memory, you need to make sure it at least has a max resolution setting or something other than being stuck at a low dpi default value.
