So i use keymander mostly for fortnite and i always used 0 on both in game and diagonal acceleration but then i tried out one of the fortnite profile in this website and it had in game and diagonal acceleration set to 25 and 95 and it made the mouse feel smoother. how does it actually work.
isnt acceleration generally bad cuz i feel my aim drift at higher sensitivity. or how do i tweak it for my liking.
    thanks in advance

In a PC environment acceleration is usually a last resort thing for FPS since acceleration cannot always be consistent. With Keymander it is very similar but slightly different because console games have acceleration built in because they are designed to be used with joysticks and not a mouse and keyboard.

Sometimes adding acceleration can help counter act negative acceleration that the game is adding so this is needed in some cases with certain titles.

So if a game (Battlefield) has an option in the game settings to set acceleration to 0 should we set the keymander in game and diagonal accelerations to 0?

No they are separate, you can try it that way if it feels good for you but it is not necessary to be done on the keymander software.
