For fortnite on xbox one I am trying to set it so builder pro buttons can work on my mouse side buttons/extra buttons. I saw the other post with what I need to type for the macro settings and I did that. Currently to build a ramp and wall it is still the left and right mouse buttons. I saved the settings and uploaded it and still the side buttons on my mouse are not working. I pressed f11 as well and nothing still. I am also confused by what m1-m6 means when setting the macros to my mouse. I have the logitech g502. Any help with figuring out how to map commands to my mouse side buttons? Sorry for the confusing sounding post haha. Thanks EDIT**it works for the most part in simulation mode and im not sure why.

Not all of the G502's mouse buttons are usable when it does not see the logitech software. Through simulation mode it sees the software and that is most likely why it is working properly.

Is is possible for it to see the Logitech software? And why does it mostly just see it in simulation mode? Also what does m1-m6 mean when I’m mapping mode for the mouse

Some mice from Logitech and other companies use different side button coding, since the functions are not as standardized as the left and right mouse buttons. Because of this the KeyMander firmware is looking for a certain type of button output, but these mice output something different. We have already purchased several of the mice we have found to have non-compatible side button outputs, and we are working on adding patches to allow compatibility. Normally we suggest a work-around for mice with on-board memory, that requires programming the mouse side buttons as unused keyboard keys such as K, L, etc. using the mouse's driver software. Unfortunately for mice without on-board memory this work-around does not work so the only other option is to run it in Simulation Mode or Play Mode with the mouse driver running in the background. In any case, we should have some patches available in the near future to solve this, but until then you can run the Logitech software in the background on your PC.

okay thank you. So I download a software for Logitech and I just run it and by doing that it will do what exactly? Sorry I’m new to mouses and all these software things.

When you run the Logitech software it will give you the ability to remap the side buttons. Program the side buttons to unused keys on the keyboard like K and L, etc. and then program the keyboard keys K and L in KeyMander to do what you want. Then when you press the side buttons in the game they will do whatever function you assigned to K and L.

Glad we could help! I just updated another G502 user so I wanted to also let you know that our engineers are currently working on profiling the G502 USB functions so we can hopefully create a patch for it (and other Logi mice) so you won't have to go through all this in the near future.
