you think it has something to do with the xbox one recent updates?

i have no idea someone told me that your keymander might need more power.

Do you guys have rechargeable batteries in your controllers? If so take those out. Depending on the equipment you are using you may need more power.

Take a second USB cable and connect it to the POWER port on the keymander, then connect the other end to a wall charger for power.

I’ll try this and let you know if it works

didn't work on mine, I even bought a new controller just to make sure my controller isn't broken, but it didn't fix anything. This started happening ever since I switch to Xbox one X and update my firmware, so it's either the keymander isn't compatible with the xbox one X or there something wrong with the firmware I download.

Our engineers are working closely on this issue, we hope to have an update available soon to fix the problem. What version firmware do you currently have on the keymander?
  • redsilversnow

    This version. GE1337P_FW_V1.3.122.004

Ok that is the version we are testing with, can you try reloading the firmware again on to the keymander.

    Still didn't work.

Ok next time you try it, shut off the xbox and then once it is completely shut off unplug the power cord of the Xbox for a few moments and then reconnect the power cord. Once it is reconnected turn on the Xbox by pressing the button on the console.

I have the same issue with my Xbox One X. I have done everything suggested on here and still having the same problems with the controller disconnecting.

Ok and you are not using rechargeable batteries on the controller correct?
Does the Keymander light up normally still?

Regular Duracell in mine. Also I might add, when my genuine Microsoft Xbox headset Microsoft (5F4-00010) is connected to the controller, it tends to increase the frequency at which the controller disconnects.

Ok sounds like it may be a power issue. Have you tried connecting a cable to the POWER port and the other end to a wall charger.

I'll try that once I get some time. Thanks

After using the wall charger, I have had minimal issues. For the past few days the keymander lost controller xontrols only twice. Each time it disconnected, it was prefaced with a "beep" sound followed by erratic controller commands (W A S D etc...). It also only happened with the headset connected. It's definitely tolerable now after using a wall power source connected to the POWER port on the keymander.

    Hi Ducster,
You shouldn't have to tolerate that at all. Is your KeyMander shutting down with the PC connected in Play Mode? If so, have you updated to the new firmware we released this week? It should fix that specific issue.

Sorry it’s been while I had to order a extra chord for power for the keymander and I tried it and it worked. I have one more question what is the recommended dpi for a gamer. My mouse has adjustable dpi so I put mine at 10,000 and the keymander at 10,000.

With the Keymander a general rule is the more resolution the better. Although a mouse with 5000+ will work perfectly fine with keymander. So if your mouse can run up to 10000 we would highly recommend leaving it set to that.

I have been dealing with this same issue for over two months now-Controller randomly disconnects, and a high frequency sound in my headset occurs. Instinctively I reset my Xbox power to fix the issue(turned off and unplugged). Firmware and software have been updated and reset and installed again. I never use batteries in my controller with the keymander and have no alternate modes on. If there is a fix to this issue it would be great to know, since it’s impossible to play any game for any period of time longer than 30 min without having to unplug and restart. The longest it’s gone with no issue was about an hour and a half....

I do apologize for the frustration, we fully understand how you feel. We are currently working closely with our engineers to locate the problem and address it with new firmware. We will update you once we get more information.

In the mean time can you give me some of your information.
    1. What version Xbox do you have?
2.What kind of controller are you using or have tried?
    3. Model of headsets?
    4. What version firmware and software are you using?
    5. Does the issue occur when in simulation/play mode or when going directly to the keymander?

    -Xbox one(not X)
-I have two standard Xbox controllers(one newer and one older)-same issue with both
    -Headset: Hyper X
-using current version of firmware and soft ware
-the only time I use simulation mode is when configuring the curve(and yes it has occurred then as well)

Our last firmware update here had a fix for the random Play Mode/Simulation Mode shutdown, but that was mainly due to a conflict with certain anti-virus programs so it doesn't apply if you aren't playing with the PC connected. This also can't be due to the recent Xbox One update since it has been happening for two months, so it seems like a current draw issue which normally is hardware related. What mouse and keyboard are you using?

In the meantime here's a few things to try:
    1. Try a different plug on your console. If you are using the side, switch to a back USB port and vice versa.
    2. Make sure you do not use rechargeable batteries, but for now remove the batteries and connect the controller without them.
    3. If the first two things do not solve the problem, take your extra mini-USB cable that is normally used for programming and connect it to a USB charger like for a smartphone or tablet. This will provide additional current in the event you have a device that is draining higher than normal current.

    @Derek @Marco
Switching the Cord from the side port to the Top Back Port Seems to have fixed the issue completely. Ive tested it this past week with and without an extra power cord connected to the keymander and no longer have any issues with the connection.

I am playing on PS4 with the Keymander, and it always disconnects 20 minutes into playing. I haven’t found anything that could fix it and I’m honestly really frustrated.

Is your PS4 controller fully charged before you start playing with KeyMander? If not, it will have random disconnects. Also, make sure you have the most recent firmware installed.
