So my device has worked perfectly fine when I got it. However I took a long break from gaming and stopped using it for a about 3-4 months. I simply let it sit my drawer. Now when I went to use it, it keeps disconnecting and randomly stops working (as in the keyboard and mouse functions won’t work). I tried using multiple cables but it still consistently happens. All of my cables are fine (as they should be since I take good care of them to prevent tears/fraying).

First thing is to update your keymander to the latest firmware. You can find the file here.

Thanks, I’ll try that later when I can. Do you know what’s updated in the firmware?

There are firmware notes on the link I sent you above. Looks like it was mostly bug fixes and a fix for Corsair mice.

So I finally got around to doing this and it didn't help anything. It still randomly disconnects. Another problem I'm having is that sometimes when it disconnects it will randomly change my button mapping. Specifically it would change my shooting to Q and aiming with F. It does this randomly and I have no idea whats causing it.

A side issue I'm having is the smoothness of the profile. Maybe it's just me but I remember the profile being a lot more smooth than this. It's not jiterry or choppy. but rather it feels like there's input lag in my mouse movements. The game is infinite warfare

Which firmware version did yo upgrade? We just released a newer version so I would start with updating that if you have not.

Here is a link to the new firmware, version 1.3.122.004

I updated to whatever version this is https://keymander.iogear.com/discussion/1175/firmware-updated-version-ge1337p_fw_v1-3-121

I will update, However I don’t understand how that would solve my issue. The keymander felt fine in the games I played in terms of input lag and no disconnecting at the same settings.

The newest firmware has some mouse fixes so I want you to update it in case it is a small bug causing the problem. Now have you tried increasing the deadzone? Also have you tried starting with one of our sample profiles?

I updated the firmware and I’m using the sample profile. I’m using a 10k dpi and didn’t touch the dead zone. Sensitivity isn’t really the problem, if just feels like there’s a delay in my movement compared to before and just feels laggy (Laggy, not jittery).

What game are you playing that feels this way? Does it feel like it takes a second to get the mouse moving, or more like slow after its already moving?

Infinite warfare and it’s the only game I use it for. And it feels like there’s a noticeable delay in my movements. It doesn’t feel 1:1 like it did before

We haven't changed any of the mouse sensitivity functions, but if you are playing with a PC and your mouse and keyboard are connected through it, the PC drivers can affect the mouse feel considerably. Additionally, if the KeyMander crashed (sounds like it did) your profile settings could have been affected. There are three things to check:
    1. If you have saved a backup of your profile, import it into the KeyMander then save and upload.
    2. Check the KeyMander dpi setting and make sure it is set to the mouse's maximum resolution (unless your mouse has greater than 10,000dpi, in which case you will set them both to 10,000).
    3. Disconnect the PC from the KeyMander and connect your mouse and keyboard directly to the KeyMander. You may notice the mouse feels different which means there is a PC driver affecting your mouse performance when the computer is connected.

    1. I don’t have it. My keymander did get corrupted some how and I had to reset the firmware and redownload the profiles.

    2. It is set correctly on both

    3. I my mouse and keyboard is always connected to the keymander

I don’t know what to do at this point

Does the USB cable I use have any effect maybe? I’m not sure if I’m using the one that came with the keymander as I had a bunch of cables mixed up

Try going through these deadzone steps , if you are experiencing a lag the deadzone may be off, follow steps to make sure it is properly adjusted.

The mini-USB cable that connects your console to KeyMander should not matter as long as it passes data. If the KeyMander works at all, then it is passing data and is likely not the problem.
You said the dpi was set correctly on both, so I'm just wanting to make sure that you checked it after you did the firmware recovery on the KeyMander. The KeyMander's dpi setting is lost after performing a firmware recovery. What mouse are you using?
BTW, we changed the CoD: Infinite Warfare profile back in October after we had some data corrupted. If you used the prior profile it's possible there was a something different. I will have to take a look at the posted profile and make sure it is the current version.

Logitech G502 and pretty sure I was using the profile before October.

I discovered the problem. I had some old profiles on my old PC and retrieved them from it. The dead zone is completely different from the current profile. It’s definitely the problem.
