I did everything right in the set up video, changing to controller mode and having a charge and sync micro cable but it still seems that it is not working, what can I do?

Can you give me a description of how you have the cables connected from the keymander to Xbox. Also are you using an official Xbox wireless controller ?

One thing you can do to test the cable is shutoff the controller then connect it to the keymander, if the cable is good it should turn on and stay on, if it is just a charging cable it won't stay on.

1 micro cable is connected to the console, the other one is connected to the PC. I bought a charge and sync cable, its even labelled on the front 'Charge/Sync micro - USB. I'm using a official Xbox controller and I'm playing Xbox from the Xbox app on windows 10, does that do anything? Software is updated to the latest.

Can you follow the steps below to make sure the cable is working properly.

    1. turn off Xbox controller
    2. disconnect from keymander
    3. reconnect to keymander

At this point tell me what the controller does, does it buzz and turn off ? Or does it turn on and stay on ?

It buzzes and and doesn't turn on but when I take the batteries out and turn on the controller it will stay on

My USB doesn't turn it on but when I take the batteries out, I hold the button to open the controller and it stays on and when I unplug the cord it turns off.

If the cable is good it should turn the controller on by itself and stay on, can you tell me what kind of cable you have so I can look it up. Also the cable going to the Xbox, on which USB port on the Xbox is it connected ?

Insignia Charge and Sync Micro - USB Cord, one of the USB ports at the back of the xbox beside the HDMI cord

Is this an Xbox One or Xbox One S ? If it is the original Xbox One make sure the cable is connected on the USB port on the side of the Xbox.

    What should I do after?

After that what I want you to do is turn off the Xbox then turn it back on but turn it on by pressing the button on the Xbox not the controller.

Also the keymander should have came with two mini USB cables try swapping the one that is going to the Xbox.

Macros are not activated by default, press F11 when you get a single beep that means Macro Mode is on

Everything is fine now but my mouse isnt that smooth

Here are some tips to get a smooth experience.

    • In the settings menu of the KeyMander, set the maximum DPI number that your mouse is rated at.
    • On your mouse, set the DPI to maximum.
    • In the game menu, set the sensitivity to max.
    • Adjust the mouse sensitivity through the KeyMander software.
    • Adjust your deadzone settings. Play with the deadzone and make it smaller.
Doing all these steps will give you a smooth play. It's important with the DPI settings at max so that it gets the best resolution for your mouse sensor.

    Hi Dan,
Were you playing remotely over Windows 10 or connected directly when you had issues with the controller connecting? Normally controller issues are due to one of two common problems: a poor micro USB cable or connection, or the controller is connected wirelessly and is not switching. To make it easy to test, take the batteries out of the controller and see if the problem is resolved.

Did you resolve the issue with the mouse response? If not, what game are you playing and what mouse are you using?

Im sorry may you explain what remotely over Windows 10 and directly connected. The micro cable was working before but wont connect between the keymander and controller anymore. Im playing Overwatch and my keyboard and mouse is a Logitech MK710 bundle. This was working perfectly fine before.

Yeah sounds the same. I had to install the old software then reinstall the new updated one mine is working again now. If you look on the old threads for keymander doesn’t work on page 4 there’s a link on the second post if you follow that then you should get it.
